Greene calls on Republicans to vote with Democrats to remove his committee posts as a free speech.
Embattled Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene apologized for past comments but shifted focus to Democratic opponents at a press conference Friday after he was removed from committee posts the night before.
“Free speech issues,” Greene told reporters who gathered outside the U.S. Capitol. “Yesterday, when the Democrats and 11 of my Republican colleagues” removed her from committees, they “removed my representative voters to work for them for the budget.”
The House voted 230 to 199 to remove Greene from the budget and the education committees after they submitted evidence on her support for a number of unfounded conspiracy theories including a man “QAnon ”Which claims that the minority Democrats are part of a cable of pedophiles worshiped by Satan and cannibals, and that the firing of a school was a“ false flag ”events to cultivate more gun control, among other things.
