The Club ‘s top scorer has been out for most of the season after suffering a knee injury followed by a positive test for Coronavirus.

The Argentine has sat on the bench for the past three games as an unused pass by Pep Guardiola promising that Sergio has “time to come”.

Commenting on We’re Not Really Here, Goater, a former City player, said: “When Sergio returns, it will be at the right time.

“He has a different DNA for us all.

“Aguero for me is a player that I feel we need to see in the team because he is a natural goal scorer.

“When he gets back and he plays games regularly, he’s just on another level. Circulation is so important at this stage of the season. ”

Paul Dickov agreed that Aguero’s return brings a different side to the front line.

The former City and Scotland star believes Aguero’s return is carefully managed as part of Pep’s main plan for the campaign’s back end.

“We all want to see her back on the pitch but Pep wrapped him in cotton wool right now,” Dickov said.

“Maybe he’s looking at the bigger picture near the end of the season. ”

Dickov also says Kevin De Bruyne will return nicely when Aguero starts appearing in the starting line again.

He says the understanding the two have built over the past six years can add another level to the threat of a City attack.

“For me, getting De Bruyne back means Sergio fits back in, because he runs and KDB gets the balls into the box,” Dickov said.

“It’s almost telepathic between the two. As soon as Sergio is healthy and burning, he will join any team. ”
