Princess Eugenie’s baby is expected in early 2021, but now it looks like Covid-19 could break another royal tradition this year.
The pregnancy of the Queen’s grandson was first announced in September. She and her husband Jack Brooksbank have not announced their exact date, so royal fans have been left to discuss when her baby will arrive.
Although the statement published by Buckingham Palace came to tell the interesting news that the proud parents were “expecting a baby in early 2021”.
In addition to the official statement the mother was posted on her Instagram, revealing the news. Posting a complimentary photo of some baby shoes, the Princess wrote, ‘Jack and I are so happy in early 2021 …. 👶🏻’.
But with the birth of Princess Eugenie ‘s baby growing ever closer, it seems that the newborn royal may be missing out on a royal tradition that was particularly heartwarming this year.
Why wouldn’t the Queen immediately see Princess Eugenie’s baby?
The Queen is famous for visiting all new royal arrivals shortly after they are born. She is reported to have visited three of the children of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis within a few days of their birth.
However, with the country now in its third lockout and restrictions not to build until mid-February at least, some believe this will mean that its proud great-grandmother will not be able to visit the new route as soon as it does I would like to.
The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh are currently at Windsor Castle, although Princess Eugenie is said to have recently moved in with her parents Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, Duchess York, at the Royal Lodge in Windsor.
