Poland will allow Israeli tourists to enter its territory

Yesterday, the Polish government issued an order allowing Israelis to enter its territory. According to the order, vaccinated Israeli citizens, or those who present with a negative corona test performed up to 48 hours before arriving in Poland, will be able to enter the country without isolation. “The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Israeli missions around the world have been working in recent months to promote recognition of the Israeli vaccinator certificate and open the skies to Israeli tourists,” the Foreign Ministry said.

As you may recall, in recent weeks it has been announced that Cyprus and Greece will accept Israeli tourists into their territory, when they will have to present an up-to-date corona test or a certificate indicating that we have been vaccinated against corona. The announcement comes about a month after Israel and Greece announced a principled agreement for mutual recognition of vaccine certificates. Under the agreements, tourists from both countries who are vaccinated for corona and present an official certificate that they are vaccinated, will not be required to perform a corona test up to 72 hours before departure. Vaccinated Israelis who arrive in Greece will also be exempt from a random corona check upon landing, as well as from isolation.

About two weeks earlier, the Polish tourism minister had said his country hoped to open its gates to tourists on May 14. According to him, after this date, the state will allow entry into its territory to anyone who has been vaccinated against the corona virus, and will present a negative test. “Until then, we will gradually remove the restrictions if conditions allow,” he said.
