As you may have heard, it’s the 25th anniversary of Pokémon on February 27th (that’s this weekend). Following this, the Pokémon Company ran a poll, asking Japanese trainers to vote for their favorite pocket monster via Twitter. To vote, participants were asked to share the name of a Japanese pocket monster on the social media platform.
In the end, more than a million votes were cast – with the most voted Pokémon receiving nearly 69,000 applications. So who are the main tartans? In first place was Dedenne, in second place was Cinccino (54,444 votes) and in third place was Sableye with 45,562 votes. The front of the franchise (Pikachu) was in seventh place.
