Podcasts + This could be Apple ‘s next membership service

It is widely believed that Apple is preparing to launch a new podcast membership service, according to various reports.

Apple already has a popular Podcasts app and maintains a podcast streaming service on its Mac and iOS platforms, but the company has tried to make money so far. By creating a paid podcasting service, Apple could attract podcast creators with a promise of more profit, stealing them away from other platforms such as Spotify, SiriusXM, and Amazon.

A recent report by Loup Ventures analysts made the case for Apple ‘s new service titled “Podcasts +.” ‘offer a selection of very special performances.

The service is expected to be packaged as part of Apple One in addition to ‌Apple Music‌, at no additional cost for existing paid subscribers. Podcasts + would help drive “increased interest” in ‌‌Apple Music‌‌ and ‌‌Apple One‌‌ as a result, “generating high revenue, recycling.”

Spotify has moved strongly into podcasts, acquiring the exclusive rights to popular shows and removing them from other services. Podcasts + would allow Apple to regain space within the arena.

It is again reported that Apple is moving into exclusive podcasts, some of which are expected to focus on its Apple TV + product. Apple even held talks to buy Wondery’s podcast network before it was purchased by Amazon, and completed the build of the Scout FM podcast app in September 2020.

The Information and Bloomberg since then the rumor has been confirmed, explaining that talks between Apple and production companies for a new podcast service are ongoing. So far, it is unclear whether Apple will continue with the service, but the evidence suggests that it is very similar.
