A vendor for PlayStation 5 consoles with PS2 Theme announced that they were canceling all orders due to threats. Retailer SUP3R5 (which has no connection to Sony) announced earlier this month that it would start selling a PlayStation 2-specific version of the PlayStation 5 console and DualSense controller. These custom versions of the consoles were going to be short of supply, and the vendor began accepting pre-orders for the standard consoles and controllers shortly thereafter. But in a recent update from the retailer, SUP3R5 revealed that they would be canceling all orders placed for the standard consoles.
Noting through a message in their official Twitter account that was deleted . and as a result, we are not moving forward. All orders are canceled in full. “
This was not long after the seller noticed how they had issues processing orders and payments, and buyers seem to be able to respond negatively to the person. -sells too. Social media channels have been flooded with questions for the company about the orders and possible refunds they may have., but many respondents say they received their refund as originally promised.
It is not clear from the first release whether or not the SUP3R5 “credible threats” were received from Sony itself, but it seems that there will be no publication or update on that front as they are now present from deleted the social media at the time of this writing. Fans were aware of the lack of official approval from Sony since the beginning of the pre-orders as SUP3R5 noted themselves on their official website, but that website was not updated with the cancellation information as it was this writing either.
With the PlayStation 5 console in as much in demand as it is these days, this big ban is definitely going to frustrate those hoping to get their own console. But with the official release not offering standard options like this PlayStation 2, external options like this need to look much more exciting for those hoping to jump into the next generation of games.
