Pirlo plays down the movement of Dybala Man Utd: It’s fundamental for Juventus

The Red Devils have been linked with the Argentine player, but the Juve boss says the striker is “fundamental” to his plans.

Andrea Pirlo insisted Paulo Dybala remained important to him amid continued speculation about the future of the Juventus playmaker.

Dybala, 27, is again linked with a move away from the Serie A champions, despite his expectations to extend his stay at Juve, where he is under contract until 2022.

The Argentina international, who has been linked with Manchester United, lost 4-0 on Saturday to Parma due to thigh injuries.

When asked if Dybala was important to him, coach Juve Pirlo told reporters: “Absolutely. Heroes like him are always fundamental in strong teams.”

Pirlo hopes Dybala returns as soon as Tuesday, when Juventus host Fiorentina.

“I train all players. Dybala is one of them. His demeanor is good,” he said.

“Unfortunately, he got this minor injury, and yesterday he tried to force it, but he was worried it would hurt even more. We hope he gets it back on Tuesday. . “

Dybala has not been at the forefront of Juventus’ plans this season, however. He has only started 10 games this term and was pushed into the shadow of Cristiano Ronaldo, having filled just two goals this season and recorded no assists.

Nevertheless, Pirlo has given the Argentine the captain ‘s arms twice – a 1-1 draw against Benevento in Seire A and a stunning 4-1 away win over Ferencvaros in the Champions League.

Dybala has been a long-time servant at the Turin club. He joined them in 2015 from Palermo and since then has gone on to play 241 for them and has scored 97 goals and joined 38 fans.

He has played suggestions that he could leave.

“So many untrue things have been said about my contract,” the Argentine international told Sky Sport after the final whistle of Genoa’s victory last weekend.

“I had my agent in Turin for a long time and he was never called up by the club. I am disappointed to hear talk of invested financial figures.

“It would be better if the truth could be told, because talking about these aspects at this time sets the fans against me, with all my love for Juventus. ”

Juve are third in the Serie A rankings, a point behind Milan leaders, who visit Sassuolo on Sunday.
