Pinchas Wallerstein: It was clear to me that the role was “tailor-made” – political and political news

I recently went through a job interview for the position of CEO of Rami (Israel Land Authority) and received an answer that Yankee Quint was indeed appointed to the position. The truth is I had no intention of applying for the job.

Although it is clear that this is perhaps the most influential role in settlement policy across the country since it was clear to me that the role was ‘tailor-made’.

Anyone who followed the proceedings of the State Attorney’s Office during the process understood that the procedure was tailor-made.

For example, “Dina Zilber approves the appointment of Yankee Quint as CEO of Rami – without tender” (Calcalist)

What are her political views? It’s no secret she’s a state employee speaking out about the “Pike Leader” or Yankee Quintet from her Sarit Dana is an external legal adviser to Remi despite having previously been in a working relationship with Adv. Quint.

As part of my work at the Negev Galilee office, the office submitted an application for a non-profit tender in Mitzpe Ramon to promote the absorption of young people there, after the procedure was approved by the Ministry of Justice and the High Tenders Committee.

On the day of the tender, Adv. Quint, as Rami’s ombudsman, ordered the addition of contractors and disqualified the non-profit tender. (There were 30 families who expressed their willingness to move to an apartment building in Mitzpe Ramon.)

Despite all this, I am still excited about the experience of people from the settlement and from all the shades of the social and political spectrum who have asked me to apply for the position.

My personal feeling is that many of us usually live within a ‘tribe’ identified with our social / religious or political worldview.

And there was the experience that people I cherish, gave me the confidence that I could be their public messenger on an issue so important to the future of settlement across the country.

People who have crossed paths over the years have called to strengthen and ask how they can help my appointment? Believing that I have the power to lead a move for the proper service of the Israel Land Authority. Always and at every opportunity and as much as I can and in any situation I would love to be available for settlement across the country.

To those who wanted me in the position I would like to thank and them, you moved me and strengthened my faith in the common denominator of Israeli society. happy hanucah. “Be strong and of good courage for our people and for the cities of our God, and may the Lord do good in his sight.”
