Priyanka Chopra has been excited about her latest venture, her top Indian restaurant in New York City, laid back, which opens today among the fans and cheers. PC shared her delight on her social media approach saying, “What started out as a simple thing for a great Indian food is a labor of love, and I can’t wait to greet you all, and that you will experience India without time in the heart of New York City! ”

Priyanka also said it was her boss Nick Jonas, who chose a name for the restaurant. She wrote, “Thanks to @nickjonas – yes! Hubby came up with the name at an early tasting with the team, because Sona means ‘gold,’ and he had heard that word in India, well … LOT, all over our wedding! We openly follow NYC and NY State safety guidelines to ensure you have a night to remember. I’m sorry I’m not there to celebrate, but I’m definitely in heart and spirit … and on FaceTime. ”

Interior designer Melissa Bowers has designed the space in the style of ‘Indo Deco’, inspired by the Indian art deco era. The food is facilitated by chef Hari Nayak, who has extensive experience working in Bangalore’s elegant kitchens – India, Bangkok, Dubai, and the United Arab Emirates after graduating from the American Institute of Wars.

The menu is freshwater and includes dishes like dosa and chutney but with twists. That’s right, you have dishes like Aged Cheddar Dosa with Turmeric Edamame Mash and Coconut Chutney and Tandoor Roasted Beets with cumin. The uniqueness of the record is that it includes special regional vessels from Mumbai to Goa.

The chef’s signature dishes include Kofta Korma which is made up of Dancing Ewe Farms Ricotta Dumpling, Cashew Sauce, Chili Cheese Naan, and looks very tasty.

There’s also the Floyd’s Goan Fish canoe, which is a tribute to the late celebrity chef Floyd, who recently passed away from Covid-19.

Other signature dishes include cashew chicken meatballs and short black pepper rib.

The crab puree and caviar are the real delicacies for your good night eating, including Garlic Butter Crab and Kaluga Amber Caviar.

The Koliwada Rock Shrimp is another interesting dish with popcorn style fritters and Aioli mango pickle.

Dessert also comes in a range of varieties from coconut kheer to Sona chocolate Gateaux, which includes Praline cashew, caramelized bananas, and Jaggery banana kulfi.
