PewDiePie has announced a major change to its YouTube channel, inspired by the likes of Corpse Husband, Dream, and a growing trend among popular climbers on Twitch and YouTube. After a two-week break from YouTube, the platform’s most popular content creator is back. In the run – up to his return, the King of YouTube was mocking a “massive publication. “Following this warm-up, today, PewDiePie released a new YouTube video titled,“ I’m back with a big release. “And as you might expect, the video is already pending and has nearly two million views. Of course, all PewDiePie uploads perform wild communication, but this video, in particular , receiving additional attention for the announced news.
For those who haven’t seen the video, PewDiePie is taking a page out of Dream Playbook, Corpse Husband, Pokimane, and other streamers and YouTubers and will now hide their identity behind an avatar. According to PewDiePie, he gets rid of his own camera and does the “reverse face reve” to stay relevant.
“I’ve realized that the only way I can stay relevant at this stage is … I have to do this,” PewDiePie said, joking clearly. “Corpse Husband … no face twists, no faces appearing, it’s very popular. Dream … no crooked face, no face will appear, it is very popular. ”
Currently, the YouTuber has not decided on a final avatar, but for most of the video, he used a temporary one, or in particular, the avatar below:
For now, it remains to be seen how lasting this change will be. In the video, PewDiePie asks fans for help in finding and choosing an avatar, suggesting whether or not the above avatar will be around for a long time. Again, however, it is difficult to gauge how long this PewDiePie will last. In the video, he’s clearly joking around and maybe having fun at the move, but it also looks like he’s going to keep the avatar at least for a while.
