Perugi – Digital – Instagram announces: “Reels” will be launched in Israel today

Now it’s official: Instagram and Facebook announced today (Monday) the arrival of their features in Israel. “Reels”, which will be a competition for ticketing and the use of legal music in stories.

More on Perugi’s digital channel:

It opens with a feature that has existed around the world for a long time and many have wondered why it has not yet arrived in Israel – it is a music component on Facebook and Instagram, where users could add songs to their stories in these apps from the proposed gallery. For music lovers, or those who want to decorate their music stories legally – the feature will be officially opened starting in the evening in Israel as well. In fact, the requested move was launched after an agreement between Facebook and Instagram in Israel together with ACUM, which is responsible for royalties and the rights of songs and artists in the country.

How will it work?

To add a song to a story, open the camera on Instagram or Facebook, or alternatively select from the gallery, and click on the icon dedicated to the music sticker. Once you select a song, if there are words available on the platform, they will also automatically appear in the story.

You can select excerpts from the song you want to highlight, add the name of the artist and the name of the song. You can change the animation and design of the text by clicking on the sticker as well as move the position of the words on the video, rotate, enlarge and reduce – as you do with any sticker on Instagram. People will be able to answer the popular Stories question sticker with a song from the music library – and share the answers they like.

Users will also be able to add songs to interests and hobbies on their Facebook profile, or pin songs up the profile. The song you choose will play when people visit your profile, and they will also be able to visit the artist’s Facebook page by clicking on the musical section.

VP of Business Development at ACUM, Assaf Nahum: “We are happy that the music features on Facebook and Instagram will now also be available in Israel. This is a significant leap forward, which will allow Israelis to share music from a wide catalog of Israeli and international songs, in the personal content they create and share. ACUM is excited about the collaboration with Facebook. Musical within the company’s app family. “

As mentioned, this is not the only course that will finally be launched in Israel today, even the “Reels” component that will try to compete with Tiktok will open for the local user audience.

Rails videos will be displayed in a separate tab in your account. In addition, it will be possible to share the videos through the Stories and Private Messaging (DM) services, as well as in the News Feed – a new Reels tab will be added to the personal profile, in which all the videos will be displayed. You can change the subject image of the video, add captions and hashtags.

Tonight in Israel, Instagram users will see the Reels option on the camera on the platform. You can shoot videos directly through Reels or use the videos you saved in the mobile film and use creative tools to edit the video.

An original soundtrack shared on Reel will be associated with the creator; In public accounts, people will be able to use the audio clip for their own videos, by clicking “Use Audio” – just like you already know.

The new features will provide people with more ways to share their feelings and express their creativity. Israeli music, just like Israel itself, is made up of so many genres and styles and we look forward to original content. “Exciting and inspiring, which will infuse content and meaning into the moments the Israeli audience chooses to document. Today, more than ever, people are relying on Facebook platforms to connect with each other – the new tools will connect the industry to the general public, allow people to discover new artists, and bring musicians closer to their fans.”
