The United States is still raging around the riots on Capitol Hill last week, with the House of Representatives promoting the removal of President Donald Trump – and into all of this, the late poet Ehud Manor has surprisingly stepped in.

Nancy Pelosi, Speaker of the US House of Representatives, spoke in the Senate tonight, explaining why Trump should be ousted. “During his term, and especially these days, I recall the words of the great Israeli poet Ehud Manor: I will not give up on her. I will remind her and sing in her ears until she opens her eyes, “she said.
Pelosi called on her Republican colleagues to “open their eyes” and get the president “to take responsibility for his actions.” “The security of our country and the future of our democracy are at stake.” Pelosi herself was one of the targets during the Capitol attack – one of the rioters documented himself sitting in a chair in her office with his feet on the table (and has since been arrested by authorities). This week she recounted that members of her staff hid under a table in another room in her office, after blocking the front door with some furniture and turning off the light.
