Mesut Ozil and Arsenal are expected to soon end the not-quite-successful contract between them, with the club expected to join Fenerbahce. The German has long been out of the Gunners’ plans and they will be happy to release his expensive £ 350,000-a-week contract before it expires in June.
Ozil, 32, last played in March last year and has not been included in the squad since due to a combination of injuries and professional reasons. He has not even signed for Arsenal in the Europa League this season.

The Turkish-born midfielder admitted that he would be happy to play in Turkey and that as a child he was Fenerbahce. Turkey is now awaiting the official release of his contract in England and will then conclude at the club.
The player arrived at Arsenal in 2013 who paid 47 million euros for him to Real Madrid. During this time he won the English Cup three times. Since Arsene Wenger left the club, his status gradually deteriorated and under Mikel Arteta he completely withdrew from the rotation and even quarreled with the club’s management following a series of statements of a political nature.
