Ozil: I want to play for Fenerbahce or in MLS

Mesut Ozil has said he has no plans to retire when he leaves Arsenal, with his choice of moving to Fenerbahce or Major League Soccer.

The former Germany international is dying in Arsenal’s career, after being frozen out of the picture by manager Mikel Arteta.

Ozil has not appeared for Arsenal since March, despite maintaining that he is fit and available for selection, and it is a question of whether he leaves in January or at the end of the season.

The former Real Madrid man has been in plenty of form on social media in his absence, holding a question and answer session. Twitter on Monday.

He answered questions on a number of topics, one of which was that he had no regrets for joining Arsenal.

Ozil has also been asked if he plans to resign when he leaves Arsenal, with the incomparable 32-year-old in response.

“I will definitely do that,” he said said when asked if he would play forward after leaving Arsenal. “There are two countries where I want to play football before I retire: Turkey and the USA.

“If I went to Turkey, I could only go to Fenerbahce.”

Ozil ‘s comments only add fuel to the fire over his move to Fenerbahce.

The Turkish giants have been linked with a move for Ozil, which is said to have given him a contract to join the club in January.

Earlier in his Q&A, Ozil spoke positively about his relationship with Fener.

“I was raised a Fenerbahce fan as a child in Germany,” he said said. “Every German-Turkish person supports a Turkish team when they grow up in Germany. And I was Fenerbahce.

“Fenerbahce is like Real Madrid in Spain. The biggest club in the country. ”

Ozil ‘s views will be music to the ears of Fenerbahce fans who hope the deal can be reached.

However, Fener Galatasaray’s competitors may have something to say about which is the biggest club in the country.

If Ozil moved to Turkey in January, he would have been paralyzed into a title battle – with Fener level on points at the top with Besiktas. Galatasaray is two points later.
