Simultaneously with data on those infected among the vaccinated, a test was conducted among a control group the size of about 778,000 Maccabi members, from a diverse profile, who have not yet been vaccinated against Corona and have not been infected with the virus in the past. Among this group, about 12,944 active verified patients were found during the test period.
A comparison of the data between the groups and the calculation of the information shows that at this stage the effectiveness of the vaccine in Israel is 91% after 7 days or more after the completion of the second dose.
A segmentation of the infected after the vaccine shows that after the seventh day of receiving the second dose, there is a drop in the number of infected, depending on the results of the Pfizer trial.

According to the data, on the 7th day of receiving the second dose, 76 vaccinated were infected, on the 8th day, 44 vaccinated were infected and on the 9th day, only 24 vaccinated were infected. From the 22nd day of receiving the dose until the 24th day – the end of the current test period, 0 infections were recorded among all members of the test group.
Head of the Information and Digital Health Division at Maccabi, Dr. Anat Aka Zohar: “The data continue to be very encouraging, and the effectiveness of the vaccine is maintained high and stable. The data clearly indicate that as the days go by from the second dose, the defense becomes stronger. “Maccabi reports that so far we have vaccinated about 926,000 members in the first dose, and about 520,000 in the second dose.
