What a big, tense battle we had tonight (Sunday) between Milwaukee and the Clippers. At the end of a stubborn battle that was decided right in the closing seconds, it was Yannis Antokompo with tremendous deciding minutes and a brilliant money time that swept the Bucks to a 100: 105 victory over the team from LA.
After a first quarter that ended at 23:27 for Milwaukee, the hosts went down to the break with a 48:53 advantage. The Clippers opened burners on the rise from the locker rooms and with 24:33 left in the third quarter they entered the decisive quarter with a four-point gap. The Clippers maintained the lead for most of the quarter, but in the final two minutes it was a performance by Yannis, who scored super important points, recorded a monstrous dunk, and led to a turnaround that earned him a MVP of the game of course. In the end, Milwaukee with 21 wins versus 13 losses, the Clippers suffered a 12 loss versus 24 wins.
It was also a big battle between the stars on each side. Antocompo finished the spectacular night with 36 points and another 14 rebounds. On the other hand, it was Kwai Leonard (25 points), Serge Ivka (15 points and 11 rebounds) and Paul George (16 points) who swept their team but it was not enough against the Greek Joker.
