He added that “if the period given to the Knesset member has passed and he has not been able to form a government, or the Knesset member has informed the president that he does not have the power to form a government, or a government has been presented and the Knesset has rejected the request, the president has two options. “To impose the formation of a government on another MK who has informed the president that he is ready to take on the task of forming a government and this MK will have 28 days to form a government. The second is to inform the Speaker of the Knesset that he does not see the possibility of forming a government.”
