On the way to another record: watch Lewandowski’s hat-trick

Beginning of an article

Bayern Munich continued to build yesterday (Saturday) at the top of the Bundesliga with 0: 4 over Stuttgart, which was the Bavarians’ fifth consecutive victory in all competitions.

The one who stole the show was of course Robert Lewandowski, who came for another day working with a hat-trick. The Pole overcame Klaus Fischer and became the second-highest scorer in Bundesliga history with 270 goals, saying: “It gives me a lot of pride. We had a very strong first half, we woke up after Alfonso Davis’ red card, but it was a challenge to win by ten players.”

The only one to score more than Lebandowski in the Bundesliga is Gerd Müller, with 365 goals, and the striker addressed the possibility of breaking the record: “I think from game to game, I do not want to think about it too much. There are still important games ahead, including the Champions League. “Ready, I’m always hungry. When you’re on the field, you always have to give everything.”

A record of Muller that Lewandowski will be able to break already this season is the number of goals per season. The former German striker holds a record of 40 conquests per season (1971/72). In contrast, the Pole has so far scored 35 Bundesliga goals, after just 26 rounds. Unless something out of the ordinary happens, it is hard to believe that he will not be able to score at least five more goals in the eight rounds that remain for Bayern.
