Hollywood celebrity A-list couple Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik revealed the name of their young daughter four months after she was born when the other man grabbed her official Instagram handle and announced to the world that they had named the apple of the eye Khai. Naturally, the name attracted a lot of online chatting because of its uniqueness. Well, the last cat out of the bag is why Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik named their daughter Khai.
A source close to Gigi told HollywoodLife, “Unsurprisingly, Gigi decided to name her daughter Khai because she chose that name in honor of his grandmother, Khairiah, who is his father’s mother, Mohamed. Khair is the middle name of Bella (Hadid) and as such is a kind of family tradition and a way to honor her loved one. Also realizing that her grandmother came from royalty, it seemed appropriate since Zayn’s last name means king. ”
Apparently, the date on which the supermodel revealed a girl’s name is also important as the source added, “January 21 was also important as to why it was such an important day for Khai’s name to be announced. It is considered a lucky day as it is palindrome when the calendar numbers, 12121, are written out so this seemed to be the perfect time for them to share her name with the world. ”
Gigi Hadid’s husband Zayn Malik was the first to break the news of their newborn to the world. He had his elegant black-and-white picture of his munchkin decided to finger and wrote: “Our young girl is here, healthy & beautiful… it would be impossible to try to put in words like which I feel right now. The love I feel for this tiny little man is beyond my comprehension. Grateful to know her, proud to call her, and thankful for the life we will have together x. ”
