Years & Years’ Olly Alexander brings out his crystal clear calls for spell-binding performance of Stevie Wonder“Signed, Sealed, Delivered I’m Yours” by Jools Holland on his UK show Later … by Jools Holland.
As part of the 57th run of the series, Alexander appeared as a guest on the show which also featured performances from Griff, Nitin Sawhney, and Ayanna Witter-Johnson. Through the program, which is now reshaping social pace, Holland interviewed the singer and songwriter on the musicians who influenced his growing up as well as his journey from actor to person. and Alexander’s recent role as Ritchie Tozer in the acclaimed TV series It is a sin.
Among the songs that influenced Alexander growing up was the famous single Stevie Wonder, who played the pair before the show ended. With the Dutch accepting his signature position at the piano, Alexander threw himself into the performance with his delicate vocals, giving new meaning to Wonder’s path of Wonder power.
His appearance comes on the heels of Years & Years’ announcing a new single as a one-man venture directed by Alexander. After the news of the band’s revival, Alexander reveal that the new track “Starstruck” reached April 8.
The last studio album of Years and Years as was the original trio Palo Santo. Released through Polydor Records, the eclectic concept album received high praise for both sonic experimentation and world creation.
