Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has compared the career of Edinson Cavani at Manchester United to the role of Teddy Sherringham in the late 1990s as Norway look to lead the club to its first title in eight years.

Solskjaer noted how Sherringham behaved around the training ground helping younger players, himself included, and sees the same approach from 33-year-old Cavani.
Teddy came in 1997 with his experience and I learned a lot from him. I think so [Edinson Cavani] has come in and has almost the same kind of impact, ‘said Solskjaer Sky Sports.
‘We were young strikers learning off Teddy, now Mason, Marcus and Anthony are learning from him. Edinson has been a great addition. ‘

Solskjaer and Sherringham scored the winning goals in that last memorable victory in the 1999 Champions League against Bayern Munich, as Sir Alex Ferguson ‘s team made a historic finish.
