Old Bean reveals that he accepted it with ‘horror and dismay’ when Ned Stark died

Old Bean has opened up about the death scene of his character’s image in HBO’s Game of Thrones. His character was Lord Eddard Stark, affectionately known as Ned, the patriarch of Stark House and the main character before he was beheaded in the first season.

Bean, who has a reputation for dying in TV shows and movies, appeared while talking to Entertainment Weekly about what was going through his head during the filming of the scene. He said, “It was horrible and frustrating – that Joffrey changed his mind (about Ned’s eviction) – and then resigned and (realizing he was) seeing the girl his for the last time, Arya. I was trying to think of all four (things). It wasn’t just, ‘Oh God, I’m cutting my head off. ‘It was that combination of emotions that made it what it was, I believe. “

He said, “It took like a day or so to film it and you just have to keep it focused that you are going to meet your death without talking about it. I was very hot at the time, so that probably helped. And everyone else’s comments were excellent – Cersei and the children. He was very mobile with a lot of pathos in that scene. Then I put my head in the block and was ready for the day. ”

The death of Ned was the first among the horrific deaths of a main character known as Game of Thrones. Back then, a TV show would rarely kill the main character in such an invisible way. But soon after, this became a major staple for GoT.

One of the most popular TV shows ever, Game of Thrones, based on the George RR Martin fantasy book series A Song of Ice and Fire, ended its eighth season in 2019.
