Odion Ighalo has confirmed his departure from Manchester United in an emotional farewell message.
The 31-year-old’s one-year loan at Old Trafford expires at the end of January, when he plans to return to Shanghai Shenhua’s parent club.
Ighalo has scored five goals in 23 goals across all competitions for United after reaching Date Day last January, but has only made two starts this season since Edinson Cavani’s arrival. into October.

Ighalo scored four goals in his first three starts for United last season and he hopes the club can win the Premier League and FA Cup this season under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Shanghai Shenhua is willing to listen to offers for Ighalo with clubs in Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Turkey all interested in the former Watford striker.
Shanghai Shenhua’s Ighalo contract runs until December 31st.
