You may want to think twice before betting on Jon Rahm to win next month’s Masters.
Ahead of this week’s WGC Match event in Texas, world No. 3 Jon Rahm gave spies a whimper and advance notice of potential bugs ahead.
“I can only say that if anyone is thinking of betting on the Masters, maybe think about it twice because there’s a chance I have to turn around and leave that week,” said Rahm of Austin Country Club.
The Masters at Augusta National are approaching April 8-11. But Rahm’s wife, Kelley, is expected to give birth to the couple’s first child. The little boy is expected to be between April 10-12.
Rahm said, “I try to take it one day at a time. And I can tell you that I am ready to go at any time. ”That includes at this week’s WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play event, where Rahm has been one of the favorites and moved to the +1200 favorite this afternoon. at DraftKings Sportsbook.

BetMGM currently has Rahm at +1200 to win his first big and green jacket at The Masters.

Rahm opened at +1000 and moved to +1100 on February 15 and remains the fourth choice at +1100. $ 600 is the maximum bet Rahm has won to win $ 6,600 for a total payout of $ 7,200. That bet is valid and cannot be repaid unless Rahm cancels, according to DraftKings’ sportsbook rules.
Rahm completed the 2019-20 campaign as PGA Tour leader with an average of 2.40 total strokes received on the field each round. He was No. 1 in the world twice in 2020, and won two tournaments during the restart after a pandemic. He then switched to Callaway clubs to start the new year. Rahm sees his six top-10 finishes in his last eight starts in the 2020-21 season as a positive, but says he is competing to “win tournaments.”
Hopefully prayers will be answered and Rahm will also be doing it around Amen Corner for the Masters weekend. By all stats and measurements, he is one of the elite golfers and the most determined candidates to win at Augusta and wear the green jacket.
