About a month after he passed away at the age of 60, the post-mortem results of Diego Armando Maradona were released today (Wednesday).

According to the autopsy results, no traces of drugs or alcohol were found in Maradona’s body, but of several prescription drugs he received, including quetiapine, venlaxyapine and betircetam. Some of these medications were following the blood clot in Maradona’s brain, and others were designed to treat moods such as depression, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder and anxiety attacks.

Another drug that was found was renitidine, which is designed to treat indigestion and heartburn, and has been banned for use in several countries for fear of causing cancer. However, although some of the drugs found in Maradona’s body may cause pulse disorders, tests have not found evidence that Maradona received a cure for the heart disease he suffered from.

Maradona passed away on November 25, about two weeks after he was released from the hospital, and according to the findings, the doctors determined that he had suffered before he died. The police will now accept the results according to which it will decide whether there was his neglect before his death which could lead to a criminal offense.
