“Nir Etzion Homemade Food” is expanding the factory

Nir Etzion Homemade Food, one of the leaders in the country in the production of prepared food (since 1972, owned by the Nir Etzion cooperative moshav), is currently investing NIS 10 million in expanding the plant by an additional 1,500 square meters, and in purchasing new production sets. Before the extension is 5500 sqm).

The expansion of the factory is intended to increase the production capacity in the factory in light of the increase in demand for the various products for the professional field – cafes, restaurants, and the retail sector. The new wing of the plant will focus on the production of fur-ready food, such as: sauces, soups, meals packed with unique technology without the need for refrigeration, a tuna production line in bags, and will include new production and packaging lines.

Moshe Nizri, CEO of Nir Etzion Home Food, said that in recent years Nir Etzion has developed new technologies in the field of ready-made food that have led to the company’s significant growth in the professional field, in terms of developing and delivering on-demand dishes to food factories, cafes, restaurants and more. The company’s sales turnover is currently estimated at NIS 150 million per year. Nir Etzion recently completed an innovative technological development for the Sugat company – a line of cooked meals, produced with advanced packaging technology that allows for a long shelf life and maintaining freshness without the need for refrigeration, and without the use of preservatives.

About 3 years ago, Nir Etzion opened a tuna production division, and began producing, (for the first time in the tuna producers’ market in Israel), tuna in aluminum bags instead of in metal boxes. The aluminum bag has important advantages in the quality and taste of the fish (without side effects), in the convenience of use, and in significant savings in storage space and garbage volume after use. Tuna is in great demand among coffee shop chains, restaurants and food factories.

Nir Etzion Home Food Company operates in the field of catering and has been growing steadily over the years. The company currently provides more than 17,000 ready-to-eat meals daily to leading bodies in the institutional market, high-tech companies, industrial plants, security services and more.
