Dicey Dungeons (Switch eShop)Dicey Dungeons (Switch eShop)

Publisher: Distractionware / Developer: Distractionware

Release Date: 15 December 2020 (USA) / 15 December 2020 (RA / EU)

Taking third place this month is Dicey Dungeons, a nice, infuriating, but dangerous an enjoyable roguelike adventure. The game takes place inside a weird game show, where players are turned into dying and must go through a series of mobile, mobile dungeons controlled by chance. In our review, we noted a very strong 9/10, recommending a mix of play, music, and combat system. Be sure to read that and download the game if it looks like it could be your thing.

Among us (Switch eShop)Among us (Switch eShop)

Publisher: Innersloth / Developer: Innersloth

Release Date: 15 December 2020 (USA) / 15 December 2020 (RA / EU)

In the second spot there’s one you may have heard of, even if you haven’t had a chance to play yet: Among Us. This one has taken the gaming world by storm over the umpteen lockdowns we’ve been watching lately, so it’s no surprise that the Nintendo Life team has been having good fun with it now that it’s finally on Switch.

You need a group of friends and a separate voice chat app to get the most out of this one, but once those obstacles are overcome, what we have here is an affordable and super steep foot gaming experience -addictive perfect for getting online -togethers. Get it if you haven’t already!

DOOM Eternal (Switch eShop)DOOM Eternal (Switch eShop)

Publisher: Bethesda / Developer: id Software

Release Date: December 8, 2020 (USA) / December 8, 2020 (RA / EU)

And taking the gold is a game that can’t be said for sure that he deserved the awards in the first place. Yes, DOOM is Eternal technically a digital-only eShop game on the Nintendo platform, meaning that despite its huge fanbase and equally large budget, it actually meets our stringent criteria.

Of course, the main talking point with this one is the poor, but sadly, visual downgrade that is needed for the game to run nicely on Switch. We have to admit, it looks a lot better on other systems, but the fact that Panic Button has run the thing on a small portable tablet – at hard 30fps, at least – is pretty amazing.

Throw in that the game itself is another amazing, grumpy, explosive journey through Hell that is just as satisfying as you would hope, and it becomes pretty easy to see why we’ve announced that this is the time. our main choice is the source. Rip and tear, people. Rip. And. Tear.

As we decide our three eShop Choose the top three: As we reach the end of each month, Nintendo Life employees will be voting for their favorite titles from a list of games selected by the editorial team. To be eligible for this list, these games only need to be released as a Nintendo Switch eShop title in that particular month, and Nintendo Life needs a review; we select the accredited games based on their review scores.

Employees are then asked to vote for three games they think deserve to sit at the very top of that list; the first option gets 3 points, the second option gets 2 points, and the third option gets 1 point. These votes are then raised to create a list of the top three, with the overall winner receiving that month’s top prize.
