If you haven’t lived under a rock, news must have reached you Feis and the City, a popular television show in the late 90s and early 2000s, which also featured two film episodes, is returning! Which means your favorite characters from the show / film – Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker), Miranda Hobbes (Cynthia Nixon), Charlotte York Goldenblatt (Kristin Davis), among others, come back, and give their stories from which the last film ended.
And now, in honor of the rebroadcast, a New York-based bakery made famous by the hilarious show, has shared the recipe for the famous ‘Carrie Cupcake’ image, named after after Parker’s character.
Magnolia Bakery and its cupcake appeared on the HBO show in 2000, when Carrie and Miranda first talked about a “fine furniture maker” named Aidan, who went on to become Carrie’s great love. the second after Mr. Big.
In an Instagram post, they wrote: “And just like… we are 25! We get Carrie’s cupcake to celebrate the sweet news of Sex and the City revival! Who else is celebrating a cupcake party ?! (sic) ”
Now, even if you don’t live in Manhattan, you can eat this delectable cupcake with pink frosting, which the bakery added to its record in 2007, in honor of the show.
Bobbie Lloyd, Magnolia Bakery ‘s chief bakery, said Inside: “We chose the only cupcake she eats on display – a vanilla cupcake with pink pastel vanilla buttercream – and added a classic daisy decon, one of our signature decorations. Our vanilla cups have been one of our favorite flavors and we are famous for our pastel butterflies, so it’s no surprise that this design is hugely popular. This large Magnolia Bakery product has been around for a quarter of a year, and we are sure it will be a huge hit for years to come. ”
According to the revolution, here is the recipe:
– 3 cup cake flour
– 1 teas teaspoon baking powder
– ¼ teaspoon baking soda
– ½ teaspoon salt
– 1 cup of whole milk
– ½ cup of sour cream
– 2 sticks of unsalted butter (room temperature)
– 1 ½ cup granulated sugar
– 1 ¾ teaspoon real vanilla juice
– 4 egg whites
Method
* Before you start, preheat your oven to 162-degrees Celsius and line two 12-cup muffin tins with paper towels.
* In a medium bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Put it aside. In a melting cup, whisk your milk and sour cream to avoid any lumps.
* In a standing mixer, cream your butter, sugar and vanilla over medium speed until the mixture is light and fluffy (about three to five minutes). Scrape the sides, as well as the bottom.
* Turn your mixer to medium speed and add the egg whites a little at a time, making sure they are stirred before adding more. Stop the mixer and scrape down the sides, bottom of the bowl, and paddle again.
* Turn your mixer to a low speed and add the flour mixture in three additions, reheating with the milk mixture and starting and finishing with the dry ingredients. Mix everything for about 15 seconds.
* Stop and remove the bowl.
* Scoop the batter evenly into your muffin cups. Bake for 20-22 minutes, until the tops jump when rubbed, and a toothpick enters the clean center.
