The Russian government has tried to influence the US presidential election that took place in 2020, the US intelligence report Reuters reported this evening (Tuesday). This, through substantiating allegations against President-elect Joe Biden, by allies of former President Donald Trump, according to a senior U.S. intelligence official.
The estimates were detailed in a 15-page report that dealt with the intervention in the US election, and published by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence. The report highlighted the allegations Trump’s allies have cooperated with Moscow And intensified the allegations made against Biden, regarding his ties with Ukraine.
U.S. intelligence agencies have found further attempts to mislead the voter, including what has been called a “covert and multi-directional campaign of influence” by Iran, in an attempt to undermine support for Trump. The report also included a counter-campaign on behalf of Trump’s allies, according to which China is involved in Biden’s name, but it was concluded that no actual intervention was taken. “China strives for stable relations with the United States, and therefore has not found it appropriate to intervene and undermine these relations,” the report said.
Senior U.S. officials have also counted attempts by Cuba, Venezuela and Hezbollah in Lebanon to influence the election. However, it is written that “it is estimated that these attempts were fewer than those made by Russia and Iran.”

U.S. intelligence agencies along with Robert Mueller, who served as a special prosecutor to investigate Russia’s interference in the 2016 U.S. presidential election, ruled that Russia also intervened in the 2016 presidential election, in Trump’s favor, in his campaign against then-Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton.
