Netflix released their big 2021 slate of film Tuesday, made up of 70 original films, including the first look at the biggest things of the year, Don’t Look Up.
The streaming service featured a quick look at their film slate with footage from several of their new projects, culminating in the premieres of Jennifer Lawrence and Leonardo DiCaprio in Don’t Look Up.
The project is still filming, directed by writer-director Adam McKay (Vice, The Big Short), although Netflix did not appear when they are aiming to release this.

Filming: The project is still filming, directed by writer-director Adam McKay (Vice, The Big Short), although Netflix has not revealed when they plan to release this.
The short clip (which begins at mark 2:14 of the video above) features JLaw character Kate Dibiasky and Leonardo DiCaprio ‘s Dr. Randall Mindy.
They can both be seen standing at the edge of an empty cargo plane, holding their own roller bags when the bay doors begin to open.
Mindy, a sporty black-haired and bearded with glasses with a string, takes a sharp look at Dibasky, a red-headed man with a nose piercing, who looks as calm as he can be.

The sneak peek ends with the two characters walking off the plane, and this is probably the last scene we’ll see for a long time.
The story follows Dibiasky and Mindy, described as, ‘two low-level astronauts’ tasked with embarking on a massive media expedition to warn humans of an approaching comet destroyed planet Earth. ‘
Although we only see Lawrence and DiCaprio in the short film, they lead an ensemble team full of talent.

Don’t Look Up will also feature Rob Morgan, Jonah Hill, Tyler Perry, Timothee Chalamet, Ron Perlman, Cate Blanchett, Meryl Streep, Ariana Grande and Kid Cudi.
Adam McKay will direct from his own original screen, while also performing alongside Kevin J. Messick.
Both DiCaprio and Lawrence were recently seen filming the film in Boston, returning after the holidays.

Filming: Both DiCaprio and Lawrence were seen filming the film in Boston, returning after the holidays
Lawrence will appear again in Red, White and Water, alongside post-production Samira Wiley and Brian Tyree Henry.
She is also slated to reunite with director Adam McKay in Bad Blood, playing Elizabeth Holmes, the biotechnology entrepreneur who built her company on lies and went from being a top female billionaire childhood to lose everything.
DiCaprio has several projects in the works, including The Black Hand and Killers Of The Flower Moon by director Martin Scorsese.
