Netflix, for Android devices, could soon get a new time feature. The company has been testing a sleep timer that would stop video playback by itself, after a set timeout. This new feature lets users choose between four timer settings that include a 15-minute timer, a 30-minute timer, a 45-minute timer, or an end no matter what they’re watching. As soon as the timeout expires the app will stop automatically.
For now, the test is limited to select Android users but Netflix could extend this feature to other devices such as desktops, TV sets, depending on how widely the product is used.
Theoretically, this feature will help save battery in Android devices, while at the same time ensuring that the times do not follow through automatic playback.

How to use the timer feature on Android devices
Step 1:Choose your favorite TV show or movie on your mobile device
Step 2: Users will see a clock icon on the top right marked as Timer
Step 3: Click on the Timer
Step 4: Now select from the 15, 30, 45 minute, or Finish options
The feature is, for now, only available for adult images. The new screen time option feature could be a good choice for kids as well and the company could make a version of the same profile or accounts designed for kids, depending on how well the feature gets. Instead of tapping on the clock icon and setting the timer, the feature for kids should be turned on a bit, as children tend to tap on screens frequently.
This sounds like a pretty cool feature, especially if you’re someone, who falls asleep looking Netflix or other content on the phone. A turnaround option seems to be a good feature when a program ends.
