Netflix Dream Home Makeover stars Syd and Shea McGee announce they are expecting their third child

Syd and Shea McGee, the stars of Netflix’s Dream Home Makeover, are expecting baby number three.

Participants in life and business announced their happy news through People on Wednesday, telling the revolution: ‘We are excited. We feel all the emotions. ‘

Shea and Syd – who are already parents to Wren, seven, and Ivy, five – said they are thrilled to see how the girls interact with those who are new or sibling, named mum and dad their ‘grand finale baby’.

‘There’s a five-year gap between our two oldest and this one,’ said Shea, 35. ‘The last time I had a baby, I had another baby to take care of too. It was crazy. ‘

But now that the girls are a little older, the interior designer is looking forward to watching the kids grow up together.

‘Now I feel like our daughters take it upon themselves to be helpers. They are just excited. ‘

‘Our youngest one kisses Shea’s belly every morning and says,‘ Hi baby, ’’ Syd said.

Syd and Shea, who have been married for 12-years, welcome baby number three around mid-June.

While the couple are thrilled with their new addition, they admitted that the news was a little unexpected.

‘We were coming home from a trip [in mid-November] and I didn’t feel well at all and I said to Syd, “I have this feeling. I don’t know why, but I feel like I’m pregnant,” Shea said.

Syd remembers being a little blind, saying: ‘You said, “My body does all the weird things it does when I’m pregnant,” and I was like, “What?”

Desiring to prove Shea’s suspicions, they received a pregnancy test ASAP.

‘I made him stop at a convenience store on the way home from the airport to take a pregnancy test and then I got out that day,’ Shea recalled.

However, the family waited for the perfect time to tell the girls, sharing the happy news about sisters as a Christmas surprise.

‘We were waiting to tell them at Christmas,’ said Shea. ‘We put up a little present and he had a little book inside, and baby toys, and they opened it, and they were like, “What’s this?” And I’m like, “We have a baby.” They didn’t even say anything, their jaws were just falling off. ‘

But after the news sank in Shea they said they ‘started screaming’ with glee.

‘It was a terrible Christmas morning,’ she laughed.
