The new Vitality Netball Superleague season kicks off on February 12, live on Sky Sports

The 2021 Vitality Netball Superleague season kicks off on February 12, live on Sky Sports, and there are a few new elements to keep in touch.

Thanks to COVID-19, the competition will be held over two centralized venues – Studio 001 in Wakefield and then the Copper Box Arena in London.

This is to ensure that all games can be played under consistent COVID-19 protocols and there will be a season-long trial program.

The opening weekend kicks off with Celtic Dragons taking on Leeds Rhinos Netball on Friday 12 February, live on Sky Sports, and there will be a total of 10 matches. The block weekend combines rounds one and two together, before there are six games in each ‘regular’ round.

All competitions of the season will be available on it Sky Sports (Sky Sports Arena & Sky Sports Mix), the Sky Sports Netball England or YouTube channel.

New for the 2021 season are 12-minute quarters and draws will be allowed. Previously, games had to be played to yield and have extra time.

The squad’s mother squads will be allowed to have 12 people and will have three points for victory, one for a draw and no points for a loss.

All Vitality Netball Superleague franchises look to the semi-finals and final, with the first one taking place on Saturday 26 June with the Grand Superleague Ball Final 2021 football event on Sunday 27 June.
