The closure is expected to end in less than a day and a half, on Friday at 7 a.m., but millions of Israelis still do not know what will happen that morning, nor what will happen next week. Will they be able to send the children to kindergarten or school? Will they be able to go to the barbershop or shop at the store? Will they be able to go to work? The cabinet meeting, which was scheduled to take place at noon, was postponed to today (Thursday) at 1:00 PM – and blue-and-white chairman Bnei Gantz accused Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of “playing human life.”
Netanyahu and Gantz do not talk to each other, and there is a complete disconnect between their offices. Everyone advocates a different position on continuing to deal with the Corona plague, and the cabinet meeting that was supposed to start at 2pm and was delayed until 6pm has been postponed again and again, and at least for now it should only open this afternoon. In blue and white, it is claimed that Netanyahu is taking time, in order to extend the closure.

Blue and White believe that Netanyahu wants to postpone the cabinet meeting so that he can claim that there is not enough time to prepare for the relief already on Friday, and therefore the end of the closure should be postponed to Sunday. Gantz’s party demanded that Netanyahu convene the government immediately.
“Netanyahu, you are playing with human life,” Ganz wrote on his Facebook page yesterday. “Without shame, without compassion and without a drop of consideration – Netanyahu today postponed the cabinet meeting we scheduled. Today, decisions were avoided that could lead to a responsible opening of the education system, increase the rate of vaccines in older populations, start implementing the green label and allow business horizons. I already know Netanyahu. Therefore, I did not agree that we would extend the closure until Monday, even though he promised that we would hold a discussion today on the exit strategy and advance the opening of some of the industries accordingly. “
“I will not give up on Netanyahu, and I will make sure that there is an orderly cabinet meeting for you,” the replacement prime minister added. “More importantly, I will continue to fight this insidious conduct from within the government, until we form a new government of honest people.”
The Likud said in response: “As Gantz knows, the cabinet meeting will be held as agreed between the chambers. It is a pity that Gantz’s advertisers did not inform him about this. This is not the time for small politics, but for unity to save the lives and health of Israeli citizens.”

Earlier yesterday, Ganz announced that he would present at the cabinet meeting a plan to withdraw from the quarantine starting Friday: immediate opening of self-collection from restaurants, one-on-one services such as hairdressers and cosmetics, B & Bs for nuclear families, opening nature reserves, professional and rehabilitative sports and lifting the distance from home.
Gantz will also demand to start next week with an outline for opening schools, opening jobs without receiving an audience as well as the trade in a stricter purple character. Gantz’s main demand at the yeshiva is to open all branches of the economy to the vaccinated and recovering within 10 days.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health softened their proposal to continue the closure and announced that they would agree to open kindergartens, grades 1-4 and 11-12 in green and yellow cities. In red and orange cities – will not agree to any opening. In blue and white, they claimed that this was a type of exercise, since it meant opening up education in only 30 percent of the country. The vast majority of Israeli cities, including 14 of the 15 major cities, will remain at home. The ultra-Orthodox parties also did not like the proposal of the Ministry of Health, which means keeping the Talmud Torah in the red localities closed.
The Ministry of Health has also agreed to open one-on-one treatments, self-collection from restaurants and work without receiving an audience, but it is not clear if only in green and yellow cities or also in orange and red. The Ministry of Health has announced that it will continue to restrict the gathering of five people in closed places and ten in open places.

The Ministry of Health has removed the opposition to the abolition of the 1,000-meter exit limit from the house, but is demanding that relief be started only from Monday and not from Sunday. Netanyahu supports the ministry’s position, but it is estimated that a compromise will eventually be reached, according to which the closure will be extended until midnight, and the relief will begin the day before. The Ministry of Health continues to oppose the opening of shops, malls and open-air shopping centers.
Meanwhile, Finance Minister Israel Katz is demanding the opening of trading starting Sunday. The Minister of Economy and Industry, Amir Peretz, proposed opening all the businesses that would prove that all workers had been vaccinated. “There are some sectors in the economy that are closed for almost a whole year. This is because in every exit route a locksmith is at the bottom of the ladder and even before they are reached, there is an increase in morbidity and we immediately enter another lockout.”
According to Peretz’s proposal, “Any business owner who and his employees have been vaccinated and received the green label will be able to open their businesses to consumers who prove they have a green passport. This decision will give an incentive for business owners and the general public to be vaccinated.” “Coffee, culture, pools, gyms and malls instantly. There is no difference between a teacher and a salesman in the store. Both are many contacts with many people so by vaccinating these workers, we can open most of the economy almost immediately and safely.”
Meanwhile, the Knesset’s Law, Constitution and Justice Committee approved the government’s regulations to close Ben Gurion Airport, which are intended to prevent the coronation of mutations by the corona virus. The decision will be put to a vote in the Knesset plenum tonight.
The committee also tightened the conditions of entry and exit from Israel: passengers and air crews will be required to present a negative corona test before boarding the plane in Israel as well, and authorized the government to prevent corona-sick citizens from entering Israel, except in special circumstances and with the approval of the Ministry of Health.
In addition, it was decided that those flying abroad will be required to present a negative corona test before boarding the flight before the flight date. Permanent in the country and abroad will not be able to skip between them. Regulations restricting entry and exit from the country will be valid for up to 14 days.
