Iranian nuclear project: A spokesman for the Tehran administration announced today (Monday) that the country has begun the uranium enrichment process at the Purdue nuclear reactor by 20 percent.

“A few minutes ago, the process began,” spokesman Eli Rabi told a news conference. As you may recall, last weekend the Atomic Energy Agency reported on the intention of the Islamic Republic to accelerate the nuclear project and return to the pre-agreement enrichment level with the powers in 2015.
Prime Minister Netanyahu responded to Iran’s statement, saying: “Iran’s decision to continue violations of its commitments, raise the level of enrichment and promote industrial capacity for underground uranium enrichment can not be explained in any way other than the further realization of its intention to develop a military nuclear program. “Israel will not allow Iran to produce nuclear weapons.”
The move is the latest in a series of Iranian breaches of the deal, which began in 2019 in retaliation for the United States’ withdrawal from the agreement and the resumption of US sanctions against Tehran and began about two months after the assassination of the head of the nuclear program.
