Netanyahu, Saar and Bennett – the national camp is calling you

The adrenaline rush of the candidates in the election is still in their blood. They are in the midst of the campaign, at the height of the frenzy. They do not know if election 4 is over or election 5 has begun.

The boycott discourse of left-wing candidates, which penetrated through the cracks into right-wing strongholds and Likud candidates, led to an inconceivable result of the ideological right’s victory on the one hand, and the victory of division and exclusion, left-wing “without freedom and without MK”, and perhaps even earlier.

The members of the Betar Hadar, the freedom fighters and the students of Begin and Jabotinsky, embraced the discourse of personal hatred, and preferred it over the value truth, the way and the movement’s solidarity. They also now put national values ​​and national righteousness up for negotiation and discussion.

The future of Israel currently depends on three: Benjamin Netanyahu, Naftali Bennett and Gideon Saar. The last two are responsible for positioning the right and, in fact, for saving Israel’s honor – and the price is ego. No waiver of values, no waiver of ideology – waiver solely of ego. The voter said his word clearly and sharply.

Saar and Elkin boasted that they had formed more coalitions than anyone else. These two will therefore form a right-wing coalition on the purity of the way in which they grew up, in the light of which they were educated, and to which they looked. A Jewish, democratic, national state. They must go in and anchor their political capacity in the realization of ideas and not in a discourse of hatred and exclusion.

Instead, it seems that the two are trying to build the “change” coalition (a new word for “hate”) by returning the blush to the left cheeks, in its most extreme form: Abtisam Maraana and Nitzan Horowitz, for their 12 seats and hopes for Zichron Yaacov and The Hague – become a major player. Important and influential – more than 30 Likud seats on its long-standing partnerships.

Naftali Bennett should, for his part, put all the bleaching theories and all the promises he will receive about a momentary kingship. He has to walk the long but safe path to the leadership of the national camp, to the ability to run for the leadership of the leadership without shortcuts, without false charms, without turning the entire right into a marginal player. Enter the main road – and not the back window.

The way the left offers Bennett will be colorful and decorated on the outside, but it will be a black hole that will quickly swallow everything Bennett wants and knows to symbolize, everything for which he has worked all his political life. His leadership project will collapse into the black hole of the left.

There are options on the right side of the political map. There is room for creativity. And the one who should most of all leave the residue of the past is Netanyahu. As a responsible adult, and as having no small part in the shaky relationships in the camp, he needs to open his heart and the warmth of the national camp and lead the two back home. In flexibility, honesty, creativity, warmth and generosity. The guarantee for this will be backed by agreements and papers – but the people will have to see the heart opened – otherwise it will have no value.

Exalt yourself now – otherwise you will be responsible for lowering the national camp from its greatness for many years.
