Netanyahu: “Diana Raz’s killer found guilty”

Murder of Diana Raz: Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu this morning (Sunday) referred to the horrific death of Diana, who was shot during an argument with her husband, the policeman Amir Raz, at their home in Na’ala. “Diana Raz’s horrific murder shocks us all,” Netanyahu said. “We will find the full severity of the lawsuit with the killer.”

The Prime Minister added: “Diana has been a source of inspiration for many women. Every effort is made to ensure the safety and personal security of all women in Israel.”

As reported last night, the Magistrate’s Court in Rishon Lezion extended Raz’s detention by nine days. The suspect, a patrolman in the intelligence police, was arrested by the police investigation department. Since Sharaz was in isolation following contact with a verified corona patient, he was not brought to the hearing, which was held in the presence of relatives on both sides.

His defense attorney, Adv. Moshe Alon, asked the court to send him for a psychiatric examination: “His condition is very serious. The investigation is in its infancy, the case is really unfortunate. ”

According to the findings of the investigation, Amir fired two shots at Diana, one of which hit her in the head and caused her death. He then called his mother and asked her to come to his house to pick up their four children, then called his direct commander at the station and admitted that he had shot his wife.

According to investigators, the murder was committed while the couple’s four children were at home, although during the argument between the two the children were asked to go to their room. Investigators have preliminary testimony from one of the children, as he told a relative, in which he claimed that when they went downstairs with their father, they saw that “mother was on the floor, there was a lot of blood and she did not get up.” The boy confirmed that the parents were arguing, and that at some point the deceased had asked them to go up to their rooms.
