NASA shares an amazing photo showing magnetic fields in a galaxy

The U.S. space agency National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) recently shared a photo showing the magnetic fields in a galaxy and it is widely shared on social media.

The photo shared on NASA ‘s official Instagram profile shows the magnetic fields in galaxy NGC 1068.

“Strive in time and space,” the US space agency wrote.

According to the post, the image showing the galaxy’s magnetic fields was captured by NASA’s Stratospheric Observatory for Infrared Astronomy (SOFIA).

A joint project between NASA and the German Aerospace Center, SOFIA, found that “the gravitational forces that created the galaxy’s spiral shape also tighten its magnetic field. ”

Since it was shared online, the post has had over a million appearances and ample responses.

NASA’s SOFIA is designed to monitor the infrared universe since many objects in space emit almost their energy at infrared waves and often they are invisible when seen by visible light.
