NASA shares a picture of the Saturn-Jupiter connection as seen from the Moon

NASA’s American space agency recently shared a photo of the Saturn-Jupiter connection as seen from space, prompting a range of comments on social media.

In the rare celestial phenomenon, which was visible in the night sky on December 21, the two largest planets were aligned in close proximity to each other, resulting in a ‘connection’. .

NASA shared images of the appearance of the phenomenon from space and the image has now caught the attention of many.

“Unlike @NASASun, that’s not a star, its two planets! #TheGreatConjunction looks great from the Moon! ” the group wrote.

In the picture, the two planets appear as two narrow, almost contradictory scenes to form a double planet.

The planets regularly overlap in the solar system, with Jupiter and Saturn positions on the same oar in the sky about once every 20 years. However, this is the first time in nearly 400 years that the planets have passed so close together in the sky and as a result the connection was great, NASA said.

The planets were so close that they were reported to be only 0.1 degrees (a fraction of the width of a full moon) apart.
