according to NASA, their astronauts are set for the third spaceflight at the International Space Station (ISS) on Saturday as Michael Hopkins and Glover spent some time on “space gardening” activities.

“NASA astronaut Mike Hopkins’ commitment to learning plant growth in space has been a success for the group Vegetable production system (Veggie), “the group said in its blog.

The Tour 64 a member of the crew had arrived at the ISS in November last year aboard NASA’s SpaceX Crew-1 for a six-month science mission. Hopkins initiated two experiments – VEG-03I which introduced the first successful plant transplant in space and VEG-03J which introduced the use of a new seed film developed at the Florida plant in Florida.

Meanwhile, astronauts Victor Glover and Michael Hopkins are ready to join forces to work on the station cooling system and communication gear. The two will spend at least six and a half hours during their spacewalk working on the propagating and regenerating ammonia lines.

“Hopkins and Glover joined flight engineers Kate Rubins and Soichi Noguchi on Tuesday afternoon for a review of spacecraft modes this weekend,” the space agency said.
