Naor Zion convicted of assault Maariv

After pleading guilty in an amended indictment, Tel Aviv Magistrate’s Court Judge Shmuel Melamed today (Monday) convicted entertainer Naor Zion of assault and sent him for a probation review, after which his defense attorney, Adv. Avi Amiram, will seek to overturn the criminal conviction.

According to the indictment, a man who passed by Zion told him, “Hey enlightened, I recognize you” and kept walking. Zion, for his part, ran towards the man, twisted him with his hands so that he stood in front of him and pushed him back, threatening him: “Who do you think you are talking to? I will fuck you.” Afterwards, Zion punched him in the jaw.

During the hearing of the case, the police prosecutor, Adv. Anat Gush Halav, said: “We have reached an agreement according to which the defendant will admit the facts of the amended indictment. A score will be convicted and sent for review before the sentencing arguments. The accuser’s position for conviction, in light of the seriousness of the acts, when it is expected that the defendant, who is a public figure, knew how to control his emotions and actions – even if he was in an emotional storm at the time and got into a situation he was not used to. After receiving the survey, we will present the components we are petitioning for punishment. In any case, we will jointly accept the punishment of compensation “

“The conviction could seriously damage his career. His mother was on his deathbed and died four days later. He actually fed her during the most difficult hours and these are the circumstances of the incident. He heard noise and curses and wanted to find out what the matter was.” Said his lawyer Avi Amiram during the hearing. We will now wait for the test review in Zion’s case in order to try to reach a settlement on the question of punishment as well.
