Nablus: Clashes between the IDF and the Palestinians at Yosef’s tomb

Clashes between IDF forces and Palestinian rioters took place early Thursday morning in Nablus, securing the entry of worshipers to Yosef’s tomb. Those who were in the tomb complex during the riots included the Minister of Diaspora, Omar Yankelevich, and the head of the Shomron Regional Council, Yossi Dagan.

Minister Yankelevitz prayed there and then said: “I am excited to be at the tomb of Yosef the Tzaddik. It is a great privilege to be in this holy place with the head of the Samaria Dagan Council, a man who fights for the land of our ancestors. I want to thank you Yours for the arrangement and for bringing Jews from the Diaspora to settle here. “

She added: “In this very complex period after three elections, in which agitation and polarization ruled, this is our opportunity to gather and remember that after the election we are a family. Joseph the righteous, after his brothers threw him into the pit, knew how to dance and live in peace with them.

“This is our opportunity to stop fighting, secular versus ultra-Orthodox, right versus left and vaccinated versus unvaccinated. This is our opportunity to unite. We pray here to settle as many settlements in the young settlement as possible,” she said.

The head of the Samaria Regional Council, Yossi Dagan, took advantage of the situation to demand a full return to Joseph’s tomb, saying: “On the one hand we are excited to get to this holy place with Sarah in the Israeli government, along with many who come for the first time this year due to the corona. “Sorrow and disappointment that we are forced to come here like thieves at night,” he said.

He added: “While the foxes are roaming outside and when the Palestinian Authority repeatedly attacks and degrades this place, we expect the Israeli government to return the ‘Yosef Yosef Chai’ yeshiva here and the Israeli flag to wave here. We need the government of Israel to receive strength and courage from the righteous Joseph who knew how to stand strong and heroic in the face of evil desires and against the nations of the world. We expect the government to learn courage and heroism from Joseph to bring construction and growth throughout Israel and return to Joseph’s tomb fully. .
