‘My body shuts down when I stop working out’: Chris Hemsworth talks about his approach

He may be the powerful Thor, but he can’t avoid his work. Actor Chris Hemsworth has revealed that he is so used to regular exercise that he cannot “handle his body” when he writes for a few days.

For the cover story for the March 2021 issue of Australian Men’s Health, the 37-year-old actor spoke at length about his fitness routine and shared that his body “shuts down” when he stops “working out”.

“I don’t feel good. I like it for a day or two, then everything just starts to hurt. I get achy and there is swelling, my back stiff. I am very aware that I need to keep going so that I can live a healthier and happier life, ”he said.

The actor has said that he is able to “maintain his commitment” to training by “always mixing things up”, and looking for things that he enjoys. “I talk to a lot of people who say, ‘Oh, I hate training’. I’m like, ‘What do you do?’ ‘Oh, I’m just running. But I don’t like to run ‘. I’m like, ‘Don’t run then!’ I’m not running. I do a lot of different things. You need to be a researcher in the world of fitness and exercise and always be on the lookout for something new. ”

Hemsworth, best known for his large body in his films, has made his debut as the God of ThunderThor‘(in 2011).

Hemsworth’s torn physique has been praised by his constellations, too, by his actor Thor Natalie Portman after describing his body as ‘otherworldly’.
