Sean Weissman is still trying to find the pace in Valladolid when alongside a number of good games he also had some in which he failed to make an appearance and in the bottom line he found the net only three times in 18 league games. Before the Purples’ upcoming game against Eibar, their former star – Hosba Jornetta – talked about the season that is going on for the Israeli.
“He must be a scorer if he has scored 30 or so goals in the Austrian league, which has strong teams. He knows how to score, but the fact that he tore nets in one team does not indicate that he will do the same in another team,” Hossba testified.
“Weissman needs to understand his teammates and needs time, he has to be smart and absorb how they play,” the former striker added. “Ultimately a striker must know what is going on around him. He is not going to score 36 goals this season, but if he scores eight or ten it will be half a consolation.”
Hosba spent three seasons at Valladolid, helped her advance to the top league and in the 2007/08 season scored 16 league goals in the media. Among the teams in which he passed can also be found Villarreal, in the media he scored 24 goals.
