MSI has introduced the early 2021 line of gaming laptops during Wednesday’s CES. The big news is that all new releases have been released with Nvidia’s new Gevorce RTX 3000 series graphics cards. In addition to improved frame rates and ray detection, these chips will deliver Nvidia’s latest features, including the redesigned BAR technology. They also have Wi-Fi 6E support.
The new GS66 Stealth is the mainstay of the thin and light line. Last year’s GS66 Stealth, powered by Nvidia’s RTX 2000 graphics, was a 15.6-inch capable rig, but it couldn’t beat the frame rates to compete with Razer’s Blade 15.
Apparently, MSI hopes to continue to take advantage of Razer with these new chip updates (especially since the Blade 15 Advanced is also getting the RTX 3000 series). The company says the new GS66 will be able to run games at playable frame rates in 4K, which is unusual to see in a modern laptop. Models come with RTX 3060 via RTX 3080 Max-Q. You can give them a pair with a 10th Gen Intel Core i7, and a 15.6-inch 240Hz or 300Hz FHD FHD screen. You can order the GS66 Stealth now for launch on February 2nd – models start at $ 1,799.
The MSI GP Leopard midrange line also has new tutors: the 15.6-inch GP66 and 17.3-inch GP76. These can both come with GeForce RTX 3070; the GP66 also has RTX 3080 resolutions. In terms of processor, all models have Core i7-10875H except the GP66 base, which can come with Core i7-10750H.
MSI has made the Leopards thinner (the GP66 is 0.92 inches thick, and the GP76 is 1.08 inches thick) and says they are easy to open with one hand. Ports have also been reorganized: there are now some behind them, as well as batches on the left and right. You get seven in total, including HDMI 2.0 and USB-C with DP1.4.
The Leopard GP is available to order now, with a release date of 5 February. The GP66 starts at $ 1,799, while the GP76 starts at $ 2,299.

If you’re looking for something even thinner, you might prefer the Stealth 15M, which MSI says is the thinnest 15-inch gaming laptop in the world at 0.63 inches thick. That looks pretty good to me – I can’t think of a thinner 15 – inch string – but if you include multitasking devices that can run games like the Dell XPS 15 2 – in. -1, you get close.
However, it’s much thinner than most 15-inch gaming laptops you’ll see, and at 3.75 pounds it equates to portable 14-inchers like the sensible ROG Zephyrus G14 in terms of weight.
The big news with this is that the 15M will be one of the first gaming laptops powered by Intel’s Gen 11-Gen mobile processors. Of course, that means you have to wait a bit to get one of those. You can order the Stealth 15M now starting at $ 1,399, but it’s not going to ship until March 8th.

Finally, there are new GF75 and GF65 Thin models for gamers looking for more affordable devices. GF65 models start at just $ 999 and GF75 models start at $ 1,299 – they all come with RTX 3060 or RTX 3060 Max-Q as well as a 144Hz screen. That’s not bad for that price. You can order them now to ship on February 2nd.
