Vaccine doses are coming and the European Union does not need Russia ‘s Sputnik V vaccine, Mr Vaccine told the bloc.

Thierry Breton, the European Commissioner in charge of repairing the EU vaccine distribution, had been convinced that the Russians were “struggling to get their hands on” the vaccine and that the challenge was to production and delivery. He was speaking in an interview on French TV after German Chancellor Angela Merkel declared her country he could use Sputnik V if needed.

Britain said Europe could bring a plant or two to Russia to help deliver the Sputnik vaccine.

Turning to the camera, he assured the audience: “The vaccine doses are coming.” The French Commissioner said that 100 million doses would be delivered in April and by 14 July – French Bastille Day – mainland Europe could reach full immunity.

Most European countries have relaunched the AstraZeneca vaccine on Friday after a halt to assessing potential side effects, a key solution for a vaccine campaign that is critical to treatment of the coronavirus.

When asked about the relatively slow spread of vaccines in the European Union, Britain added that Covid-related mortality rates were higher in the UK and the US, which President Joe Biden said was just achieved it aims to include 100 million Americans.

There are 55 plants in Europe working day and night and as many as 150 million doses are taken out in Europe every month, said a Briton, who says he is announcing the Head of the AstraZeneca Plc every day to monitor production. The company is being criticized by European leaders for delaying the vaccination campaign and for prioritizing the UK over Europe in delivery.
