Moving Marvel’s Avengers PS4 to PS5 should be easier than this • Eurogamer.net

This week’s news of the next-gen version of Marvel’s Avengers welcomes news for the game – but it will shed light on the fiddling process of moving saves from PlayStation 4 to PlayStation 5.

Crystal Dynamics, developer of Marvel’s Avengers tweet detailed instructions are needed to help confused customers after the release of both the PS4 and PS5 versions of the game is downloaded and fully updated so that the save move would work, and it was not possible transfer the saved data through PlayStation Plus cloud storage.

Eurogamer news release: has Square Enix done enough to save Marvel’s Avengers?

Here’s what you have to do: first, you need to launch the full-fledged PS4 version of Marvel’s Avengers and go to the migration tab on the main menu to start the upload.

Once the migration is done, you will need to launch the PS5 version, where you will be asked to download the data.

Here ‘s the weird part: even if you have the PS4 and PS5 version of the game on the same console (for 120GB in total), you need to save a migration to save the save on the PS5 version.

Additionally, you need to download the latest update for the PS4 version so that you can download the PS5 version. This means if you are running the updated version of the PS4 game, you will not see the migration tab, and you will not be able to transfer saved data.

Here’s the update: don’t delete the PS4 version of Marvel’s Avengers before moving your save to the PS5 version. Once you have saved your save to the PS5 version, you can remove the PS4 version from your console.

It’s similar to some other PS4 / PS5 games, such as Insomniac’s Spider-Man. “Just to be clear. You have to use the PS4 game to make your save,” Insomniac community leader James Stevenson said in November. “Remastered can’t see a save until it’s released by the PS4 game. That’s the way it is.”

Remedy Control is a bit tricky, too. Some games do not allow you to save PS4 files to PS5 at all.

Some players had problems with Marvel’s Avengers PlayStation save transfer process when it went live because the migration tab didn’t appear – something recognized by Crystal Dynamics. The developer said this should be resolved now, and apologize for the inconvenience.

“If you still have a problem with the migration, just get in touch and we’ll look into it,” said the developer.

Of course, save transfers from Xbox One to Xbox Series X and S automatically via Microsoft Smart Delivery.
