The second and final 2021 official MotoGP pre-season test is underway at Los Angeles in Qatar.
After March 5 Shakedown (led by Stefan Bradl) and then opening Official Test from March 6-7 (which saw a new Yamaha Monster sign Fabio Quartararo fastest), riders have just had two days and teams to review their data before the final three- day test.
MotoGP controllers once again join Bradl (Honda) Factory test riders – also replacing injured Marc Marquez – new Yamaha signing Cal Crutchlow, Dani Pedrosa (KTM), Sylvain Guintoli (Suzuki) and Michele Pirro (Ducati).
Crutchlow has shared M1n with Japanese test riders Yamaha Katsuyuki Nakasuga and Kohta Nozane. The three bikes, which are likely to include 2019 (A-Spec) as well as 2020 and 2021 Factory-spec engines, are named as’ # T1 ‘,’ # T2 ‘and’ # T3 ‘. Official time only lists the bike, not the rider, although one of the Crutchlow (Factory-spec) bikes in Yamaha’s 60th anniversary special colors for the final test.
Tests take place from 2pm to 9pm each day, followed by ten minutes reserved to start practice.
