Most Royal Caribbean cruise ships do not set sail before June

MIAMI – Royal Caribbean announced to customers in an email Tuesday that it will extend its shipping invitations for most of its fleet to June 1 while continuing to “return to service preparation .

The newest plan of the tour line was to resume its wider global operations on May 1, our sister station Miami WPLG reported.

The change in plan does not include sailings on board the Quantum, Spectrum, Voyager and Odyssey of the Seas.

“Our plan is to resume work for the majority of our fleet on June 1, 2021,” the email said. “Our main focus remains the unannounced return to service. We are really looking forward to welcoming our guests back! ”

The tour line said it had assembled a “Healthy Navigation Panel” of experts who work closely with governments and “key health authorities” to lead “innovative ways to move the travel industry forward as response to pandemic. ”
